New Song Tells the Story of Tuscaloosa in the Early Sixties
Florence, AL native Donnie Fritts has spent years backing some of the biggest artists in music and he apparently spent some time in T-Town in the early sixties.
Fritts is well-known name in the Muscle Shoals music scene and has backed Kris Kristofferson for over forty years on the keyboard. In 2015 he released his fourth full length solo record Oh My Goodness which featured a new song called Tuscaloosa 1962.
In the song, Fritts tells the story of playing frat parties and even celebrates the Crimson Tide's heyday.
