44-year-old Dead After Tuesday Night Shooting
The man who was shot and injured on Tuscaloosa's Elm Street Tuesday night has died, investigators said Wednesday morning.
Captain Jack Kennedy, the commander of the multi-agency Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit, said the victim has been identified as 44-year-old Henry McAlpine.
He was shot in the 3000 Block of Elm Street around 9 p.m. Tuesday, and was taken to DCH Regional Medical center in a personal vehicle.
McAlpine died early Wednesday morning, and the VCU has opened a murder investigation.
