Crews are currently on the scene of a train fire in Pickens County.

The Pickens County Emergency Management Agency reports that volunteer fire fighters have been called to the scene. Three train cars are currently on fire near the area of Bradford Road and Highway 14.

The fire is in a heavily wooded area, and volunteer fire fighters are having difficulty accessing the cars. The Pickens County Emergency Management Agency has called for air assist from the Tuscaloosa Police Department for visualizing the fire. The Alabama Forestry Commission has also been called to the scene to prevent the fire from spreading into nearby woodlands.

Fortunately, the engulfed cars are not believed to contain any hazardous materials.
