There were some great high school football games and some not so great contests in West Alabama Friday night. Here’s a look at the finals:

Northridge came from behind to beat McAdory at the Jags’ homecoming, 21-14.

Northside got a great region road win at Corner 35-21.

Tuscaloosa County got a huge area win at Spain Park 38-28 behind quarterback Sawyer Deerman and running back Kevin Riley.

Sipsey Valley left homecoming smiling after beating Montevallo 33-14.

Greensboro came back to beat Midfield 28-24.

Ethan Crawford and Hillcrest dumped Central 63-19.

ACA won at Dallas County 35-10.

West Blocton shut out Holt 57-0.

Holy Spirit lost a tough one at Berry 28-21.

Hueytown left Cottondale with a convincing 75-7 win over Paul Bryant.

Brookwood moved to 4-2 after the Panthers won at Bessemer City 32-23.

Bibb County led Hale County 49-6 at the half and that was the final.

On Thursday night Gordo won at Carbon Hill 56-14 while Pickens County lost a 21-20 heartbreaker to Lynn.

In Birmingham games of interest Thompson held off Hewitt-Trussville 14-12 while Hoover cruised past Oak Mountain 40-0.

And, in eight-man football, North River Christian won 45-0 at Meadowview in Selma while Tuscaloosa Christian crushed Victory Christian of Columbus, MS 64-23.
