Freeze Warning in Effect Tonight
Look for another chilly night in West Alabama with temperatures dipping down to near 30 degrees. The National Weather Service in Birmingham has extended a Freeze Warning until 8 a.m. today and from midnight tonight through 8 a.m. tomorrow (Friday, March 9). The text of the warning is below.
...FREEZE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 AM CST THIS MORNING... ...FREEZE WARNING IN EFFECT AGAIN FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT TO 8 AM CST FRIDAY MORNING... The National Weather Service in Birmingham has upgraded the Freeze Watch to a Freeze Warning, which is in effect from midnight tonight until 8 AM CST Friday. The Freeze Watch is no longer in effect. * TEMPERATURES...will range from 28 to 32 degrees this morning and could be a couple of degrees colder Friday morning. * Impacts...temperatures at or below freezing could kill sensitive plants and vegetation. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Freeze Warning means below freezing temperatures are imminent or highly likely. These conditions will kill crops and other sensitive vegetation.
