TPD could be getting new vehicles
Go ahead and run that red light, you might be helping to buy new vehicles for the Tuscaloosa Police Department. According to the Tuscaloosa News, city officials may use the money that's been paid from red light cameras to buy over 40 new police vehicles.
There are currently 9 red light cameras installed in the city and $1.54 million has been raised from fines from those cameras since they were installed in 2013
