Suspect in Custody Facing Capital Murder Charges in McCalla Teen’s Death

17-year-old Colt Coggins was fatally shot in what police was an illegal gun deal on Tuesday and authorities announced that they have a suspect in custody.

21-year-old Deion Dewayne Jones surrendered to law enforcement on Wednesday afternoon and is being charged with murder in the shooting death. He is currently in the Jefferson County Jail being held on a $75,000 bond.
