Second Lemonade Day in Tuscaloosa is Set for June 17
Lemonade Day, a nationwide program to promote entrepreneurship to our youth, will return to Tuscaloosa for the second time on June 17.
Last year marked the first time the city has joined other communities around the country to provide the resources for kids to learn how to run their own small business. The event is free for children of all ages and all the money you earn on Lemonade Day is yours to keep. Everyone that registers here will receive a backpack and workbook to help you get your lemonade stand going but supplies are limited so sign up early.
If you missed the event in 2016, more than 100 kids from Tuscaloosa and surrounding areas set up stands all over town. The community threw a lot of support behind the event and the young entrepreneurs showed off the creativity with unique lemonade stands and drink flavors. In total, more than $2,300 was raised in 2016 for the Tuscaloosa YMCA
