It’s Another Active Weather Day for West, Central Alabama
Heat Advisory for Sunday
The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a heat advisory through this evening until 9 p.m. for the counties of Pickens, Tuscaloosa, Jefferson, Sumter, Greene, Hale, Perry, and Bibb.
The combination of heat and humidity will result in max heat indices up to 109 degrees. Those spending time outdoors should exercise heat safety to prevent heat-related illness.

Sunday Severe Weather Threat
The National Weather Service in Birmingham said there is an "increased chance of showers and thunderstorms developing by the afternoon. Some storms may become strong to severe."
Where: All of Central Alabama
When: 1 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Threats: Damaging winds up to 60 mph and quarter size hail
