I can’t deal with these cold temperatures, especially in the car. I found a few items to help keep you warm during your commute to work or for a long road trip.

We want you to be aware, prepared, and safe. Here are the top five severe weather safety tips that I have collected over the years of providing weather safety tips to our communities.

The river flood warning has been extended for the Black Warrior River At Oliver Lock and Dam, Black Warrior River At Selden Lock and Dam, Tombigbee River At Bevill Lock and Dam, Gainesville Lock and Dam and Demopolis Lock and Dam.

Strong to severe storms are in the forecast for West Alabama this weekend.

Today you will experience cloudy conditions with a high near 45 with a North wind up to 15 mph.

The National Weather Service has made some updates to the timing and adjusted the threat level areas. And there could be more area and timeline adjustments as the evening continues. We will keep you posted.

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a tornado watch for Tuscaloosa and most of the rest of our coverage area until 11 p.m. Monday.
