Heat Index Near 105 For September 18th

You can expect another HOT day with a high near 101 which brings the heat index value as high as 105.  There will be plenty of sunshine for West Alabama during the day with increasing clouds for this evening with a low around 73.  There is a slight chance for some afternoon isolated showers or thunderstorms.  Yesterday, for Montgomery and Anniston there were new daily record highs recorded.

Thursday you can expect a 10-degree temperature difference, but that is still pretty warm with high being near 90 but does provide some relief from the extreme temperatures we had for the past few days.

Friday Night Football Weather: pretty good possibility that the temperatures will be around 80 degrees around kickoff time.

Game Day Weather:  This Saturday is an early kick-off for Alabama vs. Southern Mississippi game; the high will be near 91 with mostly sunny skies.

Hurricane Humberto Update: is currently tracking to pass to the north of Bermuda at some point today as it moves away from the U.S.

Tropical Storm Imelda: the system is continuing to bring heavy rain to Southwest Texas this morning with the concerns of flooding around Houston.

Tropical Storm Jerry: the current track will have it pass the north of the Lesser Antilles towards the end of the week.  It is expected to move into the Atlantic before impacting the U.S.
