Hazardous Weather Outlook For Today
Hazardous Weather Outlook For Today - Saturday June 27, 2020
I hope you are enjoying your weekend. Please take my advice and keep your umbrella handy because we do have the possibility of wet weather today. The National Weather Service has our listening areas under a Hazardous Weather Outlook for today (June 27, 2020). “The main threat will be damaging winds up to 60 mph with hail up to a quarter size.” You can expect spotty showers throughout the morning in the early afternoon then shifting into more developing storms.
The time frame for this to take place for our area is between 1 pm and 9 pm. Also, the Storm Prediction Center has our various listening areas under a marginal risk for severe storms for this afternoon into this evening. My concern for the possibility of these developing storms is the hail factor. In theory, when you have strong winds combined with hail, it could lead to damage as they become projected with force. I will be monitoring the weather this afternoon into the evening hours and will be sure to bring you any necessary updates.
