Alabama Second Grader Uses Her Allowance to Buy Christmas Presents–For Her ENTIRE School
Christmas is a time for giving, and no one understands that quite like 8-year-old Abby Henderson. The Opelika second grader used her allowance to buy presents for her friends this year--all 430 of them!
ABC News reports that Abby was inspired to do something special for ALL of her classmates after dropping off a Thanksgiving donation to their local Humane Society. Abby and her mother, Molly, were talking about the true meaning of Christmas when little Abby was inspired to spread cheer to all the students of Southview Elementary School.
Abby did chores around the house to earn the money she needed to buy each student a present; she cleaned the bathroom and family's front yard and took care of their dog. Abby eventually saved about $200 and was able to buy each student a holiday cup filled with candy, pencils, and a toy.
