The Alabama Crimson Tide won its 18th football national championship in Miami by defeating the Ohio State Buckeyes 52-24. The celebration has been in full bore in Tuscaloosa since the moment Christian Barmore made his fourth down tackle for loss late in the third quarter.

Many celebrated by rushing the streets, some celebrated by buying national championship gear but I celebrated Nick Saban's seventh national championship by going to Rama Jama's to tackle its newest burger.

The newest version of Rama Jama's "National Championship Burger" is a triple-decker monstrosity consisting of 18 ounces of beef (three, six ounce patties), two strips of bacon, three slices of cheese, a big bun, two pieces of Texas toast, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles and topped with an onion ring.

I went into the historic restaurant in the shadow of Bryant-Denny Stadium to take on the monstrosity and give into my glutenous nature. I thought perhaps the sheer mass of the burger could help me find a spot on the Crimson Tide offensive line.

The burger when brought to the table was held upright by oversized toothpicks, signaling to myself, as the diner, that I was in for an epic challenge. Like Nick Saban's process that has led to such success, I knew I must approach this challenge with a solid plan.

I attacked the burger relentlessly as Mac Jones and DeVonta Smith attacked secondaries all and even when I was slowing down I was inspired by Jaylen Waddle's national championship effort and pushed through.

In the end I was successful, defeating both the burger and the delicious onion rings leaving no trace of my opponent. I basked in the glow of victory and knew my persistence had paid off.

Everyone celebrated the Crimson Tide's championship in their own unique way, personally, enjoying the "National Championship Burger" from Tuscaloosa's Nick Saban look alike Gary Lewis's restaurant was the only way.
