The state's reigning Mr. Basketball looks to be finishing his high school career in style.

Mae Jemison senior John Petty, who has signed to play for Alabama in college, scored 22 points in the Class 5A Northwest Regional final to help lead his team into the state semifinals. Jemison defeated rival Lee-Huntsville, 60-51, but it was Petty's posterizing dunk that people were talking about after the game.

The national top-50 player pushed the ball up the court after a rebound and found himself leading a 3-on-2 fast break. Petty scanned the defense before attacking the rim and throwing it down over a defender.

Thankfully, there are two great angles on the dunk.

Mae Jemison will try to win the state championship in the school's first year in existence after replacing the now-closed J.O Johnson, which won the last two Class 5A state championships with Petty.
