Twelve25 Bar & Restaurant Set for Grand Opening This Month
After months of rebuilding and renovation, the highly anticipated Twelve25 is finally set to open its doors on the Strip.
Announced last April, the new restaurant and entertainment venue promises to offer patrons “A New Way to Gameday,” but Jay Jarrett, a partner of CMB Holdings Group, LLC, said Twelve25 will be more than that.
“We’re very excited about what we’re bringing not just to the Strip, but to Tuscaloosa as a whole,” Jarrett said. “Twelve25 represents a brand-new way to experience entertainment in this city.”
The venue will offer lunch daily, brunch on Saturdays and Sundays, a bar with its own signature cocktails that stays open late and a wide variety of entertainment options, including a golf simulator, an XBox console gaming section and more.
The menu focuses primarily on hand-crafted burgers and tacos, but also offers a wide variety of starters including Bavarian pretzels, tuna bites, quesadillas and more.
Although one of the purposes of the establishment is to bring ideas from Las Vegas, Nashville and Washington D.C. to the Druid City, its roots are still firmly in Tuscaloosa. Its General Manager, Bryant “Bear” Danford, has been in the local bar and restaurant business for decades, including time spent at the Downtown Pub and managing Brick & Spoon in Temerson Square. Assistant General Manager Melvin Boyd was the general manager of the Brass Tap in Midtown Village and spent almost six years in management at the NorthRiver Yacht Club.
Jarrett said Twelve 25 will host its grand opening on January 25th, but soft openings are going on right now. This week, the restaurant and bar are open from 6 p.m. until 11 each evening. Starting next week, the staff will open their doors at 11 a.m. and stay open until 2 a.m., which will tentatively become their regular hours of operation after the grand opening, although Jarrett said those hours are subject to change as they become more familiar with the pulse of the community on the Strip.
The venue is also set designed for segmentation, so several area can be closed off for private parties, corporate meetings and more.
Be sure to check them out at 1225 University Boulevard on the Strip in the building that used to house El Rincon Latin Bar & Grill.
