The Houndstooth Closes Until Further Notice, Tuscaloosa Innisfree Transitions to To-Go Service Only
The City of Tuscaloosa has doubled down in its enforcement of state and local health orders, and two iconic Druid City spots have already announced big changes in the way they operate.
All bars within the City of Tuscaloosa have been ordered to close for the next 14 days. Restaurants are also prohibited from offering bar service, and Tuscaloosa Mayor Walt Maddox has also petitioned the ABC board to suspend alcohol sales within Tuscaloosa County as a means of preventing the spread of the novel Coronavirus.
Although the Houndstooth Sports Bar recently began offering a full menu of bar food, the iconic spot announced it will remain closed until further notice.
Innisfree in Tuscaloosa also announced a change in its operations, tweeting that it is suspending in-person bar and restaurant services and will only offer food through curbside or to-go orders.
