April is the peak of tornado season in Alabama, and this week seems to be no exception. Severe storms and tornadoes will be possible across the state this afternoon as well as tomorrow and Easter Sunday.

The National Weather Service in Birmingham says severe storms will be possible from 1 p.m. this afternoon through 9 p.m. tonight. Threats include tornadoes, damaging winds of up to 60 miles an hour and quarter size hail.

Another round of storms is possible overnight, and these storms could once again bring the threat of damaging winds and hail.

Easter Sunday also appears to be an active day for severe weather. Tornadoes, damaging winds, and hail are all possible.
