A man who is allegedly responsible for the death of many cats in Tuscaloosa has been arrested.

Tuscaloosa City Councilman Kip Tyner posted the news to his personal Facebook page Monday night.

"The serial cat killer has been arrested and charged," Tyner said. "No telling how many kittens and adults had their throats slit because of this low life."

"For those of you not familiar an untold number of cats and many many kittens primarily in the downtown area - were lured by food then killed - at least two were shot - but most had their little throats slit," he added.

Yuxin Zhuang was arrested on charges of Aggravated Cruelty to Animals and was booked into the Tuscaloosa County Jail before being released on a $10,000 bond.
