Saraland, Alabama Police Officer Shot and in Critical Condition

Authorities from the Saraland Police Department were responding to call this morning when one officer was shot.

Veteran officer Jackie Tucker was responding to a domestic violence call and when she arrived on scene, the suspect immediately opened fire, striking her in the head. Saraland Police Chief James West said that Tucker was transported to USA Medical Center and is in critical but stable condition.

Officials are also reporting that the 27-year-old suspect is dead.
