Nick Saban really made COVID's ass quit.

During a Dec. 3 episode of Hey Coach, Saban's weekly radio talk show, he discussed his quick trip to recovery after being diagnosed with the coronavirus last week.

The diagnosis led Saban to miss the Nov. 28 Iron Bowl last month, despite the fact that he maintained a very healthy attitude when asked about symptoms. He spoke of an IV plasma treatment that took care of the mild sinus issues he was experiencing last week, turning his health around in about a day.

“Whatever was in the plasma deal, it knocked it out,” Saban said.

Saban was heard to have been spotted at a Dec. 3 practice, according to Tide 100.9's Ryan Fowler. He later announced on "Hey Coach" that he is "all good" to travel to Baton Rouge to coach the upcoming game against LSU.

Alabama Athletics publicized that Saban had a confirmed positive case the Wednesday before the long-awaited annual matchup against the Auburn Tigers, and in accordance with the SEC's COVID-19 guidelines, Saban was required to quarantine at home for at least 10 days upon receipt of diagnosis.

Offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian led the Crimson Tide to a 42-13 victory over the Auburn Tigers that weekend. And while Saban was not in attendance for the game, he kept a close eye on his team.

"I cussed the TV a few times, I must admit," Saban confessed.

Saban added that he kept two streams of the game on over the weekend, watching the live All-22 version first and using the CBS broadcast as an "instant replay."

Kickoff for Alabama-LSU is set for 7 p.m. CST. Stay connected to this site for more information as it becomes available.
