Northside lost last week to Hale County in a non-region game 42-21. Tonight's victory provided the Rams a "get right" game before they head into the 4A playoffs. Northside's defense held Sipsey Valley to just 80 yards of offense tonight to rebound after allowing over 300 yards to Hale County the week prior.

"We challenged them all week. We knew that Sipsey was going to be tough, it's a rivalry game and we knew they were going to play hard, being their last game. Our kids stepped up, we had a good week of practice. Now we've got to get ready for the playoffs," said coach Hilliker.

The Rams scored all 29 of its points in the first half, led by sophomore quarterback Braden Green rushing for 54 yards on 11 carries while scoring all three offensive touchdowns for Northside.

The Rams were also helped offensively by junior running back Jace McNutt, sophomore running back Luke Jones and senior running back Wes Maluda. Maluda rushed for 51 yards, Jones rushed for 29 yards and McNutt rushed for 47 yards and hauled in 22 yards receiving.

The Rams defense got in the endzone off a 48-yard pick-6 from junior Keiton Camp. The Northside defense also had junior Dylan Guyton haul in an interception and Houston Lackey, Camilo Ramirez and Joshua Trimble each get quarterback sacks.

The Sipsey Valley offense was futile all evening but senior running back Anthony Abernathy found the most success of any Bear by rushing for 27 yards on 15 carries.
