The Nick's Kids Jubilee will he held Thursday, August 5th beginning at 9 a.m.

"In April 2020, the Tuscaloosa City Council officially renamed 28th Avenue between Jack Warner Parkway and T.Y. Rogers Jr. Avenue to Nick’s Kids Avenue. This event includes the formal unveiling of the new street name and a fun celebration," the City of Tuscaloosa said in a Thursday release.

The parade kicks off at the intersection of Nick's Kids Avenue (formerly 28th Avenue) and 7th Street and ending at the Tuscaloosa News building. A brief ceremony will follow at 9:30 a.m. in the Tuscaloosa News parking lot, and free refreshments will be served.

The parade may be viewed along the new Nick's Kids Avenue, and the public is encouraged to arrive early to secure the best viewing location. Additional information may be found HERE.
