National Girls & Women in Sports Day is Wednesday, February 2. The recognition important to White because it teaches young girls that they are strong and independent. For White, the day reminds her to have confidence in herself, knowing she is strong and capable of overcoming challenges. Looking at all of White's accomplishments it's no doubt she has a very strong mindset and big goals for her self.

"I think sticking to a goal and trying your best to accomplish it, even though it might take a really long time; I think that's a really good lesson you can learn from swimming," said White.

Rhyan White will continue to work to accomplish her future goals in life and keep pushing herself to be the best athlete that she can be. White concluded her thoughts on National Girls and Women in Sports Day by thanking donors who've contributed to the scholarship fund. The donors and scholarships provide the athletes opportunities to push themselves and maximize their talents.
