Netflix is adding a new feature to make it even more helpful to for parents to control what their kids watch.  They plan to introduce a new feature that will allow you to block the individual shows you don’t want your kids to see.

What parent hasn't listened as their kids watched Bubble Guppies or Paw Patrol or Caillou or any number of shows over and over until it drives you up a wall?  So Netflix is adding a four-digit PIN code for individual movies and series so parents will have even more control over what their kids watch.  If there is a particular show you don’t want your kids viewing, whatever the reason, you'll be able to manually enter the name of the program and the only way to access it is with the four-digit code.

While they already provide PIN protection for all content at a particular maturity level for Netflix accounts, PIN protection for a specific series or film provides families with an additional tool to make decisions they are comfortable with.  They'll also begin displaying more prominently the maturity level rating for a series or film once you hit play on a title and are explore ways to make the information more descriptive and easier to understand.
