The number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 coronavirus in Alabama continued to rise Tuesday, according to new figures from the Alabama Department of Public Health. There are now 10 cases confirmed in Tuscaloosa County and 242 statewide.

Cases in Jefferson County climbed to 91 Tuesday. Lee County is home to 26 cases, Shelby County to 27 and Madison County to 21. No other counties in the state have double-digit case numbers.

There are confirmed cases in 26 of Alabama's 67 counties.

The ADPH has processed 2,321 total coronavirus tests, and 242 people have tested positive.

Alabama's coronavirus death toll remains at zero, and almost 650 people have died in the United States since the pandemic began to seriously spread in February.
