Tuscaloosa Woman Dies in Midnight Interstate Wreck
A Tuscaloosa woman died around midnight Thursday in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 20/59 in town, State Troopers have confirmed.
Corporal Reginal King, a spokesperson for the Troopers in West Alamama, said Angela C. Henderson, 37, was driving a 2013 Toyota Prius on the interstate a few minutes after 12 a.m. Thursday when she left the roadway.
King said the Prius struck a concrete barrier and overturned. Henderson was reportedly not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the Toyota.
Henderson, a Tuscaloosa woman, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
King said the crash occurred on Interstate 59 near the 71 mile marker, within the Tuscaloosa city limits.
Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
