Troopers Seek Driver After Pedestrian Dies in Greene County Hit-and-Run
Alabama State Troopers are seeking information about a fatal hit-and-run in Greene County that killed a man from neighboring Perry County.
Corporal Reginal King, a spokesperson for the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, said 39-year-old Tobias Griffin was found dead on U.S. Highway 11 outside of Union, Alabama, at about 3:45 a.m. Friday.
King said Griffin, who was from Sprott, was in the roadway when he was struck by an unknown vehicle, which then fled the scene.
The deadly collision happened on U.S. 11 approximately four miles north of Union
"The vehicle involved in the crash, along with the driver, are currently unknown," Corporal King said. "If anyone has information concerning the crash, please contact ALEA Troopers at 205-553-5531."
No other information was available Saturday morning.
