West Alabama HS Football Scoreboard
It was week 10 of 11 for the 2023 high school football season. The regular season is winding down but the playoffs are right around the corner. Here's a look at this week's West Alabama Scores:
The Tuscaloosa Academy Knights beat Cold Springs at TA 48-26 behind another big game passing by quarterback Preston Lancaster. That win clinched a region title for the Knights in just their second year of playing AHSAA football.
Hillcrest easily defeated McAdory on Patriot Parkway, 48-21. The Pats are 10-0 heading to the 6A playoffs.
Sipsey Valley and Hale County battled in Moundville and the Bears erased an early 14-0 deficit and won, 48-20. LJ Cormier got the passing game going, and when you close a road region game with a playoff berth on the line 48-6, that is STRONG.
West Blocton needed help from Hale County and didn't get it, so the Tigers missed the playoffs but did win their game 35-16 over Dallas County.
ACA travelled to Montevallo and the Pats came home with a win, 18-6. ACA gets the two seed in the region and will likely start the playoffs at home.
Vestavia went to Northport and shut out Tuscaloosa County, 45-0.
Holy Spirit edged Sumiton Christian 26-5 and the Saints have won two straight games. Hat tip!
Hueytown outscored Central at Falcon Field, 56-28. The Falcons just missed the playoffs.
Region champ Bibb County crushed Holt, 54-0.
Paul Bryant hosted Bessemer City and the Stampede lost, 41-12. Bessemer makes the playoffs over Central with the win.
Brookwood visited Northridge and the Jags won over the Panthers 34-20.
Northside downed Hamilton, 47-6.
In eight-man football action, North River Christian beat Trinity Christian Homeschool 72-22 and will start playoffs next week, and in a big upset Tuscaloosa Christian extended their season with a thrilling 56-48 win over previously unbeaten Jacksonville Christian.
And, at the Hoover Met Thompson beat Hoover 21-11.
