It was week 10 of 11 for the 2023 high school football season. The regular season is winding down but the playoffs are right around the corner. Here's a look at this week's West Alabama Scores:

The Tuscaloosa Academy Knights beat Cold Springs at TA 48-26 behind another big game passing by quarterback Preston Lancaster. That win clinched a region title for the Knights in just their second year of playing AHSAA football.

Hillcrest easily defeated McAdory on Patriot Parkway, 48-21. The Pats are 10-0 heading to the 6A playoffs.

Sipsey Valley and Hale County battled in Moundville and the Bears erased an early 14-0 deficit and won, 48-20. LJ Cormier got the passing game going, and when you close a road region game with a playoff berth on the line 48-6, that is STRONG.

West Blocton needed help from Hale County and didn't get it, so the Tigers missed the playoffs but did win their game 35-16 over Dallas County.

ACA travelled to Montevallo and the Pats came home with a win, 18-6. ACA gets the two seed in the region and will likely start the playoffs at home.

Vestavia went to Northport and shut out Tuscaloosa County, 45-0.

Holy Spirit edged Sumiton Christian 26-5 and the Saints have won two straight games. Hat tip!

Hueytown outscored Central at Falcon Field, 56-28. The Falcons just missed the playoffs.

Region champ Bibb County crushed Holt, 54-0.

Paul Bryant hosted Bessemer City and the Stampede lost, 41-12. Bessemer makes the playoffs over Central with the win.

Brookwood visited Northridge and the Jags won over the Panthers 34-20.

Northside downed Hamilton, 47-6.

In eight-man football action, North River Christian beat Trinity Christian Homeschool 72-22 and will start playoffs next week, and in a big upset Tuscaloosa Christian extended their season with a thrilling 56-48 win over previously unbeaten  Jacksonville Christian.

And, at the Hoover Met Thompson beat Hoover 21-11.

Tuscaloosa County Wildcats vs. Paul W. Bryant Stampede

The Tuscaloosa County Wildcats defeated the Paul W. Bryant Stampede 59-34 in the opening game of the 2021 season for both schools. For the Wildcats it was the debut of new coach Adam Winegarden.
