Alabama MBB to Face St. John’s in C.M. Newton Classic
Alabama will face St. John's in the C.M. Newton Classic in Birmingham, Ala., on December 12 during the 2026-27 men's basketball season, it was announced on Tuesday morning.
It's a rematch of last season's top-15 matchup in Madison Square Garden, where the Crimson Tide defeated the Red Storm 103-96 in the programs' first-ever matchup. Alabama was led by its guard duo of Labaron Philon Jr. and Aden Holloway, who combined for 46 points in the matchup.
A tip-off time will be announced at a later date for the second-ever matchup between the Crimson Tide and the Red Storm.
