Stephanie Taylor, a spokesperson for the Tuscaloosa Police Department, said the wreck in question took place on February 6th, 2022.

Taylor said the victim who died after the wreck, Antonio Lee, was a passenger in a vehiclke that was turning left from Highway 69 South onto Kauloosa Avenue.

Booth allegedly ran through a red light and collided with the vehicle in which Lee was riding.

Taylor said officers did not immediately think the wreck was serious, but Lee reportedly died two hours after the collision at an area hospital.

A grand jury convened in early June and indicted Booth on one count of manslaughter, a Class B felony in Alabama.

Court records indicate his bond was set at $20,000 and he has since paid that amount and been released from police custody.
