Faith Hill Is Working to Help End Childhood Hunger
Faith Hill believes no child should go to bed hungry, so she has partnered with Williams Sonoma for their sixth-annual campaign to benefit No Kid Hungry, an initiative with the goal to end childhood hunger in America.
Hill helped design a spatula for the cause — part of the sale of the kitchen tool will go to help kids in need. With a goal to raise $2 million, the money will bring nearly 20 million meals to hungry children.
“Thanks to our incredibly generous customers, friends of the brand and employees Williams Sonoma was able to raise more than $3.3 million since 2012 to support No Kid Hungry, which equates to 33 million meals served to children in need across the nation,” Janet Hayes, president of Williams Sonoma, says in a statement. “This year, we’re continuing our efforts with an even loftier goal. We’re renewing our commitment to an organization dedicated to making No Kid Hungry a reality through awareness, action and education.”
Hill isn't the only celebrity who has partnered with Williams Sonoma for the cause — the Roots' Questlove, actress Kristen Bell and chefs Bobby Flay and Giada De Laurentiis, among others, also designed spatulas. "Loved designing this one of a kind spatula with @WilliamsSonoma. 30% of the proceeds go to #NoKidHungry," Hill writes with a photo of her creation.
The limited-edition celebrity-designed spatulas are available in stores and online for $12.95 each, with thirty percent of the retail price benefiting No Kid Hungry. For every dollar raised, No Kid Hungry can connect a child with ten healthy meals.
