Domino's Pizza is coming to Alberta City.

A groundbreaking ceremony was held on Friday (9/1), at the corner of University Boulevard and 26th Avenue East. It is set to open either late this year or early 2018. Once completed, it will mark the seventh overall Domino’s store for franchisee Zan Hall of Z Man’s Pizza Inc.

District 5 Councilman Kip Tyner, who represents Alberta, said he was “thrilled” to host the official groundbreaking ceremony for the nearly $600,000 development. Hall said, "I hope the community of Alberta sees that you have a national brand that is locally owned that has the confidence to come to Alberta and do business. If we can be an inspiration or a catapult to get more businesses to come out here, that would be great.”

Hall also added that the new Domino’s location will employ between 35 and 50 full-time workers and feature limited indoor dining, along with a pick-up window for vehicles.

Personally, I think this is a FANTASTIC addition to the Alberta Community. However, what I think would even be better is for a LONG JOHN SILVER'S to open in Alberta! :-)
