Cristobal Could Be Aiming For Northern Gulf Coast

Here is a late afternoon update on Tropical Storm Cristobal. At the time of this story, Cristobal is bringing the threat to the Northern Gulf Coast for this weekend.

Current Overview of Cristobal

It is now a tropical depression but expected to gain strength and show be a tropical storm by Friday night or Saturday morning.
It is spinning over eastern Mexico with heavy rain and life-threatening flooding, along with mudslides in Mexico and Central America. Also, to high surf and high winds.
It is still tracking towards the Gulf Coast and tracking to emerge into the Gulf of Mexico late Friday.
It will track towards the northern Gulf Coast by Sunday.
The expected landfall range is between the upper Texas coasts to the Mississippi Coast.

Here is the weekend forecast for our area:

Saturday – High near 90 with a slight chance of showers transitioning into showers in thunderstorms in the afternoon. Saturday Night will be mostly cloudy with a low near 71.

Sunday – There is a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms with mostly cloudy skies with a high 88.
