I totally love all the holiday events all across Alabama. I hope I have enough time to get in all of the various holiday outings. It’s something about Christmas that just brightens my spirits.

A great day trip is over to Peach Park Garden Christmas Tree Walk in Chilton County. (Did someone say peaches?) It’s close to an hour and a half drive. Not too bad for some holiday cheer.

They created the annual event “to promote the Chilton County community,” as noted by the Facebook page. You can find them at 2300 7th St S, Clanton, AL 35046.

If you haven’t been to Alabama’s Peach Park, you are soooooooooo missing out. I like to view Peach Park as a combination of a roadside fruit stand, family feel-goods, all with a dash of tourism! When I lived in Pelham, sometimes, we would just take a drive down for some peach ice cream.

The Christmas Walk can be found in the gardens adjoining Peach Park. I was excited to see that “Santa and the Grinch will be back Saturday evening 4-7!”

There is an excellent selection of decorated trees by various community outlets. Some are super creative. Overall they had “44 tree/display sponsors,” which helped them “make a $1200 donation to DHR of Chilton County to assist in purchasing Christmas gifts for children in foster care.” Now, that makes everything warm and fuzzy for me.
