Alabama: High School Secretary Arrested For Sex With Student

An Alabama high school employee has been arrested and charged with committing a sex act with a student. Martha Pope, school secretary at Elba, Alabama High School, was arrested and charged for sex with a student under19 years of age. Newsbreak and WDHN TV report police arrested and charged Pope with engaging in a sex act with a 16 year old male student.
The Elba High School secretary was taken into custody and incarcerated in the Coffee County Jail. Pope has since been released with a $5,000 bond.
Alabama School Superintendent Chris Mosley reported to WDHN TV that Pope is on leave with pay. There is an ongoing investigation.
