41 Pounds Of Marijuana Confiscated In Tuscaloosa Drug Raid
41 pounds of marijuana and nearly 3 pounds of cocaine was recovered yesterday by Drug Agents in Tuscaloosa Drug Raid yesterday.
Christopher Williams, 43, of Demopolis, was arrested after being the subject of a two month investigation by The West Alabama Narcotics Task Force, where they seized the illegal drugs.
The raid took place at a home in the 300 block of 29th Street. Drugs agents, where seized 41 pounds of marijuana, which they estimate is valued at $260,000, and 2.7 pounds of cocaine, with an estimated value of $110,000. Also confiscated in the raid was a 2006 BMW 750, a 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer, a handgun, and $18,173 in cash.
Williams was officially charged with trafficking marijuana and cocaine.He is currently being held in the Tuscaloosa County Jail. He's also facing possible probation revocation on an unrelated charge.
