The Voice was, of course, taped weeks in advance -- so there was no possibility of the music reality show having any idea the
tragic events in Las Vegas would take place. The show's network, NBC, decided to air a simple statement offering solidarity to those affected by the mass shooting at the Route 91 Harvest Festival.

59 people died and more than 500 were wounded when a shooter opened fire at the Route 91 Harvest Festival in Las Vegas on Sunday night (Oct. 1), during a headlining set from Jason Aldean. The set was the close of what started as a fun day of music that had included sets from Jake OwenBig & RichKane Brown, Tyler Reeve, Dee Jay Silver and more.

Owen performed right before Aldean, and he saw the shooting going on from side stage, while Chris Young was forced to hide out in a trailer when the shooting started.

Otherwise, The Voice Season 13 Blind Auditions 3 contained a number of standouts, including Adam Cunningham from Nashville, who won over Blake Shelton with his rendition of "Midnight Rider" by the Allman Brothers.
