Tuscaloosa History

With the 4th of July right around the corner, I thought we could all use some fun facts regarding our cherished holiday.

Personally, I like odd. Strange, peculiar, bizarre, eccentric, freakish, quirky things. I think crazy people are happier than the rest of us. They don't know they are crazy. I have lived in Tuscaloosa, off and on, since 1988. I thought I knew lots about Tuscaloosa.

Tuscaloosa, Alabama once boasted its own amusement park complete with a zoo, bumper cars, and an Olympic-size swimming pool complete with a huge high dive.
