The mayors of Tuscaloosa and Auburn will continue their annual commitment of pouring back into the community through their friendly Iron Bowl competition, which was announced Monday.

One lucky teacher from Alabama will score tickets to watch the Alabama Crimson Tide take on the Auburn Tigers at the end of the month, courtesy of the king and queen of Alabama football.

Alabama walks it off against Auburn on Owen Diodati’s RBI single in the 10th inning. Coach Brad Bohannon told Diodati to “just breathe” before the at-bat and he listened, bringing home Zane Denton to walk it off.

The game-winning score came on a 4-yard play-action pass from McElroy to senior running back Roy Upchurch. Then freshman sensation, Richardson touched the ball on the three prior plays for the Tide, one on screen and two rushes out of the backfield.

After the Tide's loss to the Bruins Sunday night, Auburn fans roll Toomer's Corner. Additionally, their bass fishing team gets suspended.

The Alabama Crimson Tide completed it's first three-sport sweep of the Auburn Tigers since the 1977-78 season.

It was no Nick Saban, no problem for Alabama as it coasted to a 42-13 win over Auburn in the 85th Iron Bowl.

Three days ahead of the annual Iron Bowl game between Alabama and Auburn, Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban has tested positive for COVID-19, according to the Alabama Athletic department. This is the second time this season Saban has tested positive for COVID-19, however the first test resulted in a false positive diagnosis.
