The SEC has cancelled the rest of the SEC Basketball Tournament. The conference officials made the decision an hour before tip-off was scheduled to begin to cancel the tournament due to the danger of COVID-19 Coronavirus spreading.

There will no basketball game today for Alabama. The Crimson Tide’s basketball season is likely over. Head Coach Nate Oats was hoping to use the post-season to lay a foundation for next season but with the conference tournament cancelled the Tide will be left out of the NCAA tournament. The Tide could be selected for the NIT but that secondary tournament is facing the decision to cancel as well.

Georgia and Arkansas won the only games played in this year’s SEC tournament last night before the conference made the decision to discontinue the event. If Alabama is chosen for the NIT TIDE 100.9 will keep you updated on its date and time and pending matchup.
