The Alabama running back group is lead by senior, Brian Robinson who did not participate this A-Day. The White team was lead by Roydell Williams who had 12 carries for 43 yards and four catches for 65 yards. Crimson team saw Jase McClellan shine out the backfield as well with 12 carries 46 yards and seven catches for 62 yards.

Keilan Robinson had limited action with the white team, but provided four carries for 12 yards and one catch for a gain of five. Look for Robinson to be a key weapon once fall starts for Bryce Young and this offense. McClellan and Williams clearly are going to be useful out the back-field this year too. They showed this game that they will be willing to catch multiple passes on various routes drawn up by new offensive coordinator Bill O'Brien. McClellan had a total of 108 scrimmage yards, and Williams had a combined 108 yards as well.

Once the O-line starts to get healthy and gel, expect this running back room to be one of the best if not the best in the entire nation. Coach Saban has mentioned several times this offseason that he is confident in this unit more than any other one on the team so far.

Losing Najee Harris to the NFL will surely be no easy task. These backs however, show tremendous promise and are lead by a great senior in Brian Robinson. The more they get carries the more the fans will see why Saban speaks so highly of them, even though the position group is young for the most part. Camar Wheaton still is set to arrive in the fall to add to an already stacked running back room.
