The Greg Goff era of Alabama baseball appears to be over and there won't be a lot of positives to take away from his lone year as head coach.

Just a few days after finishing last in the Southeastern Conference, the University of Alabama plans to dismiss Goff according to The Tuscaloosa News. The report states that the team had a 1 p.m. meeting to discuss the news.

Goff came to Tuscaloosa after turning around Louisiana Tech, but he didn't find the same kind of success in his first year. The team won only five games in conference play and finished 19-34-1 overall, but the determining factor might end up being a decision he made after the season ended.

The head coach conducted exit interviews with his players this week and informed as many as 10 of them that their scholarships would be reduced or even revoked. This is a direct violations of NCAA rules as a Power 5 school.

The university hasn't released any official statement at this time, but we'll update this story when they do.
