Faith Hill’s ‘Pickler & Ben’ Renewed for Second Season
It looks like Kellie Pickler and Ben Aaron will be entertaining viewers a little longer, as Pickler & Ben has been renewed for a second season!
The daytime talk show is shot in front of a live studio audience in Nashville and offers guest appearances by various celebrities, as well as special segments highlighting community do-gooders and members of the military and their families. There are also home design, cooking and speciality DIY projects featured.
Faith Hill is one of the show's producers and had a heavy hand in the design of the modern farmhouse set, among other things. Dolly Parton, Tim McGraw, Little Big Town and Reba McEntire are just a few in country music who appeared on the show in Season 1, in addition to designer Christian Soriano, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition's Ty Pennington and more.
"Kellie and Ben are a breath of fresh air in the daytime space, and audiences have loved watching them bring this fun, dynamic show to life," Cater Lee, vice president of programming for E.W. Scripps Company, says in a press release. "The creators’ vision that a show originating from Middle America would appeal to viewers everywhere was spot on, and we are seeing that in just a few months it is already outperforming many long-established talk shows in key demos and on social media. I am delighted that we are recommitting for a second season.”
"We feel very blessed and we've been put in a place where we get to serve those that serve and give back. So we're hoping the show continues to do well and that people give us a chance and that they feel safe with us and we make them laugh and make them smile," Pickler tells Taste of Country. "We just feel blessed to be in everyone's homes in the morning or afternoon and just be a bright part of their day."
