Baltimore Ravens and former Alabama Crimson Tide cornerback Marlon Humphrey agreed to terms on a lucrative five-year contract extension worth $98.75. Humphrey is the son of former Alabama running back Bobby Humphrey. Humphrey is one of the top cornerbacks in the NFL and today the Ravens ensured he would be a member of the franchise for years to come.

Humphrey was in the final year of his rookie contract with the Ravens, the franchise opted to offer him the contract extension over picking up his fifth-year option. Humphrey's rookie deal is worth $11.8 million, his new deal will pay him roughly $19.6 million per year.

Humphrey's agent Joel Segal worked throughout the evening with Raven's executive Pat Moriarty to reward the 2017 first-round draft pick for his strong first three seasons.

In 49 games in the NFL, Humphrey has accumulated 150 tackles, eight interceptions, forced four fumbles and recovered three others. He has taken two of the fumble recoveries back for defensive touchdowns. He made the Pro Bowl last season for the first time in his career and helped the Ravens secure the No. 1 overall seeding in the 2019 playoffs.

Humphrey is a product of Hoover High School in Birmingham, Alabama. He was a dual-sport athlete competing in football and track and field. He started for two seasons for the Crimson Tide and helped the Crimson Tide win the 2015 CFP National Championship.

After signing the new contract, Humphrey will be a part of the Ravens until 2025.
