Javion Cohen signed his letter of intent to join the Alabama Crimson Tide today. December 18 is the first day high school seniors can officially sign with their new college programs. Cohen is a four start offensive tackle out of Central High School in Phenix City, Alabama. He is ranked as the 27th overall tackle in the nation and the 16th overall prospect in the state of Alabama according to 247sports.

Cohen had been committed to South Carolina in March and then Auburn in June before flipping to the Crimson Tide in December. Cohen had been set to decide between Alabama and Auburn on signing day but Auburn withdrew his scholarship offer once he waivered on his commitment.

“They were upset and sent reports saying my offer was pulled. I have no respect for that university at all, and I’m sure the feeling is mutual,” Cohen told Jordan Hill of the Opelika-Auburn news.

Cohen checks in at 6’5” 295 pounds and was chosen to be a member of the Alabama roster in the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star game, Cohen was also honored as a member of the SI All-American team. He was primarily recruited by defensive backs coach Charles Kelly and offensive line coach Kyle Flood and will enroll in January at Alabama.
