An Alabama man has died after a single vehicle crash in Walker County Saturday, State Troopers told media.

Reginal King, a spokesperson for the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, said Richard G. McClintock Jr., a 41-year-old Cullman man, was driving on Nix Road outside of Carbon Hill when the truck he was driving left the roadway.

King said the 2016 GMC Sierra pickup then struck a tree, and McClintock was not wearing a seatbelt. He was airlifted to UAB Hospital in Birmingham, but did not survive his injuries and died on Sunday.

Troopers estimate the accident happened around 8:50 p.m. Saturday about two miles north of Carbon Hill. No other details were available Tuesday.
