Tuscaloosa Attorney Elected President of Alabama Association for Justice
A longtime local attorney who just joined the Tuscaloosa Board of Education has been named President of the Alabama Association for Justice for the next one-year term.
The ALAJ is made up of lawyers from all over the state who are committed to protecting the right to a jury trial outlined in the 7th Amendment of the US Constitution.
They voted for a slate of officers during their Annual Summer Convention last month, and Tuscaloosa's Clint Mountain was the only West Alabama litigator elected.
Tuscaloosa's Josh Hayes was also elected to the ALAJ board of directors for the 2025 - 2028 term.

Mountain practices law with his father, Delaine, at Mountain & Mountain, and he was also recently elected without opposition to serve a four-year term on the Tuscaloosa City Schools Board of Education.
In a press release, he said he was humbled by his peers' decision to elect him President of the ALAJ.
"I’m honored to serve as President of the Alabama Association for Justice and to stand alongside such a dedicated group of advocates," Mountain said. "Our mission to protect the right to a trial by jury and ensure access to justice for all Alabamians has never been more important. I look forward to building on the strong foundation of those who came before me."
Ginger Avery, the CEO of the ALAJ organization, said Mountain is the right man for the job.
"Clint Mountain brings integrity, leadership, and a deep commitment to justice to this role," Avery said. "His experience and perspective make him an outstanding choice to lead our organization. Under his guidance, ALAJ will continue to be a powerful voice for accountability and fairness in Alabama’s civil justice system."
