Tuscaloosa Man Caught with 10 Pounds of Cocaine and $40,000 Cash
A Tuscaloosa man accused of drug trafficking is being jailed on a million-dollar bond after narcotics agents reportedly found over 10 pounds of cocaine and $40,000 cash at his home last week.
In court documents obtained by the Tuscaloosa Thread, agents with the West Alabama Narcotics Task Force said they obtained a search warrant during an investigation into 47-year-old Kenwanmorel Wilson and executed it on May 9th.
Inside his east Tuscaloosa residence and a truck parked there, police say they discovered a lunchbox holding 5.2 pounds of cocaine and a backpack containing 5.3 pounds more.

The total weight of the cocaine found was 4.8 kilograms - over ten and a half pounds.
Agents also said they found a total of $39,956 in cash during their search, and Wilson reportedly admitted the money came from his selling drugs.
WANTF seized the drugs, the currency, and two handguns from the residence. Kenwanmorel Wilson was arrested and ultimately charged with trafficking cocaine, three outstanding counts of distributing a controlled substance, and four counts of failing to affix a tax stamp.
Judge James Gentry set a consolidated bond at $1,000,000, and Wilson remained in the Tuscaloosa County Jail on Thursday.
