Primary Election Day is almost here in Alabama, and voters across West Alabama are being encouraged to make a plan before heading to the polls.

According to the Alabama Secretary of State’s Office, Alabama’s primary election is scheduled for Tuesday, May 19. Polls across the state will be open from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.

Voters in Tuscaloosa County can find a full list of polling locations through the Tuscaloosa County Probate Office website. According to the county website, Tuscaloosa County has 54 voting wards used for county, state, and federal elections.

Residents can also confirm their polling place, registration status, ballot information, and voting address through the Alabama Secretary of State’s online VoterView system.

The voter lookup website allows voters to search by entering their name and date of birth. The system can also help voters locate their assigned polling place before Election Day.

According to the Alabama Secretary of State’s Office, voters can also review sample ballots online ahead of the primary election.

The county said voters should verify their exact polling location before Election Day because locations can vary depending on precinct assignments.
